The Formula 1 season got underway last weak in Adelaide, Australia. My favorite team, McLaren, did a respectable job, finishing in spots two and three, behind the winning Ferrari. This is bound to be an interesting season, especially since there are a lot of new rookies, who makes the races very unpredictable at times. Additionally, my favorite driver, Kimi Raikkonen, switched from my favorite McLaren team to Ferrari, which puts me at odds, since while I like his driving abilities I’ve never been a big fan of Ferrari. Don’t get me wrong, I think Ferrari builds some of the best exotic automobiles, but I’ve never been a big fan of their Formula 1 effort. Anyhow, there is also Robert Kubica, who drives for BMW Sauber, and since starting late last season, has done remarkably well. He is the first ever Polish driver in Formula 1 and being Polish myself I can’t help but cheer for him as well. Right now it seems that speed wise the Ferraris are in front but a lot of things might change come the next Grand Prix in Malaysia a few weeks from now.
In other news, I’m slowly rehabilitating my knee. I’ve had my stitches removed this morning and now have several weeks of physical therapy ahead of me. I can walk with ease and my flexibility in the knee is pretty good, however, it will be some time before I can step back onto the tennis court. In the mean time, my buddy and I closed successfully on our investment property, so now we are looking for a tenant. If you know of anyone looking for housing in Austin, make sure you get him or her in touch with me. I also finally got my replacement laptop from Dell, and it is far better then the previous one. Not only does the battery no longer wobble, but also the display is significantly brighter, which helps a lot when working outdoors.
