Well, before I get to the movies, it turns out that in my last post I might have missed a few trips. First, we’ll be heading to San Fransisco in late February for a few days, initially to explore the city and hang out, and after that I’ll be sticking around a few more days for the ISSCC conference. Then there is a good chance that at some point this year we'll be up in New York for a few days as well but the details remain to be finalized. And last but not least, there might also be a little trip to Indianapolis as well - never been there, but I do hear it is a rather lovely place. Yes, the schedule is already packed, and it only is January! All right, enough about travel plans and on to the movies, for it seems that somehow I do manage to find the time to squeeze in a few here and there. The movies below are in alphabetical order with my short take on each of them - take a glance, there might be one here or there which might peek your interest:

All Over the Place Lazy Lousy Mix
Ever so seldom I still do get on the decks, and once in a blue moon I do press the record button. Most of the time these recordings are scrapped immediately, but on occasion they might not be quite terrible enough to suffer that faith. This indeed was the case a couple weeks back, after a few pints of course, when I was relaxing and playing around with NI's Traktor for a little bit. Now, don't get your hopes up, this mix is not anything as smooth as you might remember from days long past, and don't get on my case about track selection either! There is a reason the title of this mix is what it is. With that said, have a listen, you might find it enjoyable after all. And by the way, let me apologize in advance regarding the levels of the high hats on the first two tracks - just a warning. What can I say, some people dig bass, I prefer the highs. You can download the mix below and of course there is also track listing with links for good measure:
new track: WC001, final version
At my rapid pace of track composition I seem to be on course to producing an astonishing one track per year - unbelievable how prolific I am. All sarcasm aside, I’ve been sitting on this track for months and just can not get it to come out the way I hear it in my head. It just feels very rough around the edges, not nearly as smooth as the previous one, and I’ve at last lost my patience with it. So rather than letting it go to waste somewhere in my digital file wasteland, I figured why not just post the latest version and be done with it. Who knows, there might be a soul out there who will actually enjoy it. And if you are interested in expanding or re-mixing it, drop me a line, and I’ll send the underlying source files, as long as you give me some credit down the road when you get famous. Anyhow, without further delay, click the play button below and at least try to enjoy. I've has some fun with a few filters and after some encouragement from my buddy Richard finally utilized T-RackS3 for some mastering goodness. Contrary to what you might think, the WC in the title does not stand for water closet, although in some way that might have been fitting, but rather for some west coast beats which served as inspiration.
