It is that time of the year again, when just about anyone I know ends up somewhere in the Atlanta vicinity for Christmas. After spending about a week so far, running around doing last minute Christmas shopping, meeting up with as many friends as possible, attending several parties including my parents' neighborhood Christmas party, several parties downtown, and eating and drinking excessively, today is the first day on which I feel I might be able to relax even if for just a few hours. I already have some golf planned for later this afternoon, then a dinner at a nice Indian restaurant and most likely some more clubbing afterwards. I have to say that ATL is a great city though, I don't mind coming back here at all. The clubs and lounges are far superior to what Austin has to offer. People also dress significantly nicer, which in itself makes going out a lot more fun. With the better clubs, also comes much more enjoyable music, especially on the electronic side of things. On a related note, it seems that turn-tables and record stores are definitely becoming a thing of the past: Just about any venue that I have attended utilized compact disc players either from Pioneer or Technics as the entertainment platform. It looks like I will have to pick up some of those before long, or I might not be able to obtain the most recent electronic music releases. Anyhow, my Christmas gifts were pretty good: I got anything from an MP3 player to some video games, PJs and socks. Hope everyone had a pretty good Christmas as well!
